LeTourneau University is named for its founder, R.G. LeTourneau, one of the world’s greatest inventors of earthmoving equipment and was founded in 1946.

Today, more than 1,150 students attend LeTourneau University classes online or at our educational centers in Dallas and Houston and might not step foot onto the university’s beautiful main campus in Longview, Texas unless they come for graduation.

Melanie Roudkovski, PhD, LPC-S

Professor of Psychology and Counseling

Dr. Roudkovski received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 1997. A native of Louisiana, she attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she earned an M.A. in Marriage & Family Counseling, a Master of Theology, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Roudkovski joined the LeTourneau family after teaching undergraduate and graduate psychology courses and serving as Director of Counseling at a state university in Alabama. Dr. Roudkovski has ministered for several years in private practice as a Christian counselor specializing in clinical diagnosis and treatment, child and adolescent issues, and marriage & family therapy, and she is a board-approved LPC Supervisor for the state of Texas.

 In her 12+ years at LETU she has had many roles, including faculty member, Director of Graduate Programs in Psychology & Counseling, program and curriculum developer, President of the Teaching Faculty Organization, Chair of the Department of Psychology, Dean of the School of Psychology & Counseling, Dean of the College of Health Sciences, and now Vice President for Global Operations. Her current role allows her to remain active in her discipline through teaching, research, and scholarly publications and presentations. Dr. Roudkovski also retains oversight of the LETU Center for Counseling.

 

Jong Chong Lee, PhD, LPC

Assistant Professor of Psychology and Counseling

Dr. Lee has earned a Master of the Divinity with Biblical Language, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling, Master of Arts in Christian Education, and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has taught several courses to students of master level as an adjunct professor at Global Baptist Theological Seminary in Dallas and Midwest University in St. Louis. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. He has served as a counselor at Metroplex Counseling in Bedford and Sigma Counseling Services in Dallas. He has also served as a minister of single young adult group and family ministry for Binnerri Presbyterian Church in Richardson. He has been given the opportunity to lead seminars related to marriage, family, and spirituality at churches in Dallas/Fort Worth area. He was born in Seoul and grew up in Taegu, South Korea. He came to United States in 2001. He is married to Youngmi and they have two sons, Sean and Austin. During his leisure, he enjoys spending time with his family by traveling, watching movies, and playing sports.

 

Malinda Fasol, PhD

Associate Professor of Psychology and Counseling

In addition to teaching classes at LeTourneau, Dr. Fasol is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Texas and a neurotherapist and psychotherapist at Focus for Living.

Dr. Fasol works with individuals, couples, and families. She has extensive counseling experience in a variety of settings, including church-based counseling ministries, private practice, and social services organizations.

Malinda served as a director of a non-profit foster care agency, and worked with foster children, foster parents, and biological parents. Additionally, she has worked as a researcher and clinician in the area of media and distorted body image. She is actively involved in promoting healthy body image in teens and adults.
