INNOVATION IS PART OF OUR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

LeTourneau University is named for our founder, R.G. LeTourneau, one of the world’s greatest inventors of earthmoving equipment and Christian businessman.

In 1946, LeTourneau and his wife, Evelyn founded LeTourneau Technical Institute as a school specifically for veterans returning from World War II; in 1961, the school became LeTourneau College and in 1989 it became a SACSOC and ABET accredited university.

Throughout its history, LeTourneau has embraced the values for which R.G. LeTourneau was known – as an innovative, hard-working, learn-by-doing, ethical and giving man who trusted Jesus Christ as a guiding force. Our programs integrate a Christian viewpoint into each discipline – from business to technology so our students can find a deeper relationship with God and discover His purpose for their lives.
