The Master of Business Administration is an online program designed for working business professionals who are committed to be effective and ethical leaders. True leadership requires more than knowledge. That’s why we at LeTourneau emphasize ethics, integrity and ingenuity in all curriculum to help students understand how Christian faith integrates in business practices.

DEVELOP WELL-ROUNDED SKILLS

We also value hands-on learning. In the past, our MBA students provided strategic analysis and outcomes assessment for a nonprofit organization in Dallas known as the Ferguson Road Initiative (FRI). FRI then used these outcomes to successfully obtain a $1 million grant from the United States Department of Justice.

Students complete one online course at a time’ each course lasts three to seven weeks. Each week, courses begin on Monday, with most assignments due on Sunday night.

MBA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the admission requirements for graduate studies at LeTourneau University, admission to the MBA program has additional requirements.

GPA Requirements: An applicant who does not meet the minimum GPA requirements for unconditional or probationary acceptance into the graduate program may provide a two-page professional resume, with employment history, job responsibilities. and volunteer service to the community and church.  This material will be reviewed by the Graduate Admissions Committee which may grant probationary admission in some special circumstances.  In no event will a student be admitted to the MBA program with a GPA of less than 2.25. The GPA calculation can be overall or for the last 60 hours.

LeTourneau University is named for its founder, R.G. LeTourneau, one of the world’s greatest inventors of earthmoving equipment and was founded in 1946.

Today, more than 1,150 students attend LeTourneau University classes online or at our educational centers in Dallas and Houston and might not step foot onto the university’s beautiful main campus in Longview, Texas unless they come for graduation.

Dale A. Lunsford, Ph.D.
Professor of Business Administration and LeTourneau University President

Dr. Dale Lunsford became the sixth president of LeTourneau University in 2007. In 2016, Lunsford celebrated his 31st year in higher education. He also worked as an award-winning business professor and academic journal editor. 

Beverly Rowe, Ph.D.
Professor of Accounting

Dr. Beverly Rowe earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and has corporate experience in the banking, retail, distribution, and manufacturing sectors. Dr. Rowe’s research includes auditing, usefulness of accounting information, performance measurement, and education.

Bob Wharton, Ph.D.
Professor of Business

Bob Wharton’s academic career has spanned 42 years in public and private institutions.  After starting with his first appointment at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, he then moved on to Christian higher education in Florida, Tennessee and now Texas.  Bob has been at LeTourneau University since 2008.
